On May 16, 2010 we just watched the 59th of Miss USA 2010 which was held at the Theatre for the Performing Arts in Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. And we already know the controversial story of Rima Fakih (read in here), the contestant from Michigan who crowned as Miss USA 2010.
Two months after that moment, tonight, Saturday, July 24, 2010 8:00 PM EST we will witness the final night of the sister pageant of the Miss USA, 2010 Miss Teen USA which will be held at the Imperial Ballroom Atlantis, Paradise Island of Bahamas. 50 beautiful girls and also from the District of Columbia aged from 16-19 delegating the different States of America will show off their best performance to compete for the crown of Miss Teen USA 2010. And Rima Fakih also invited in this event.
Miss Teen USA is an annual beauty pageant contest organized by the Miss Universe Organization, a Donald J. Trump and NBC Universal joint venture, available for girls between the ages of 14 and 19. Created in 1983 as a sister pageant to the Miss USA. The first pageant was held in Lakeland, Florida in August 1983.
The Miss Teen USA, Miss USA and also Miss Universe are produced by the Miss Universe Organization. Miss USA is always the first event of the year and is generally held in February or March. Miss Universe follows in the Spring, with Miss Teen USA held at the end of Summer.
For age requirement, Miss Universe and Miss USA contestants must be at least 18 years of age and under 27 years of age by February 1st in the year they compete in the national competition. Miss Teen USA candidates must be at least 14 and under 19 years of age by February 1st in the year they compete in the national competition. And of course the contestant must be single. No married woman is allowed.
